Colby
We rescued Colby from the Smith County Sheriff's holding facility in 2013. He was initially adopted by a longtime friend of Pegasus, where he stayed for many years. Because Colby had gotten too fat on her lush pasture grass, she returned him to us because it was in the best interest of his health. Colby, who is now 15 years old, lives in a paddock with very little grass and is doing well. Unfortunately once a donkey gets fat pads, they never go away. But, Colby is happy and healthy and is absolutely the sweetest donkey you will ever meet. He is so easy to care for, willingly standing for the farrier and the vet. His best friend is the beautiful Cassidy, who adores her donkey. We would love for Cassidy and Colby to be adopted together.
